Sentiment among traders continued confident at tho opening of today's stock market with steels, equipments, oils and food shares again leading the movement. Rails also reflected improved transportation trans-portation conditiions, wltn shippings. Early gains in Vanadium, Replogle, Baldwin Locomotive, American Car, Allis-Chalmers. Food Products and I American Sugar extended from one to one ande one-half points. Firm features fea-tures of the railroad division included includ-ed Atchison, Rock Island and St Paul The further advance was attributed less to actual buying than to covering' of short contracts. I The market broadened with further i upward tendencies during the morning J Tobacco, chemical, leather and other; specialties made substantial gains. ; United States Steel made little head-; way, but Crucible and Pennsylvania' Seaboard, Atlantic-Gulf, United States Realty, Barrett company, Tobacco Products Pro-ducts and Lorlllard Tobacco gained 3 , to 6 points.
