In the 440-yard event Fuller of Ogden holds the record which stands at 53 seconds and which was made in 1914. McCabe of Salt Lake made the present record in 1912 when ho covered the distance in 2 minutes and 5 Beconds, In the discus throw two athletes of the southern division have been heaving heav-ing the oval out of their lots and the record in dual meets has been shattered. shat-tered. "Red" Hansen, of the Branch A. C. made the present mark of 10S feet 9 inches at Salt Lake in May, 1915. Walter Hall's javelin record of 136 feet, made in 1918, Is also due to fall. In the half-mile Hogan of West High covered the distance in 2.09 in the Salt Lake division meet and Coach Chrls-tenseu Chrls-tenseu says his man will more than break the, record. Heine heaved the lead ball 43 feet 7 and. l-2 Inches that season and for years the weight men have been endeavoring to break the mark, but it always has been to no avail. On the other hand, the record Is just as apt to be broken as any of the other marks.
