Forty-six aviators representing twelve eastern colleges will participate Friday in tho first annual field day to bo held at Mitchell field, here, under the joint auspices of the Inter-Collegiato flying association, American Hying club and tho United States army air service. All the contestants -were in the air service during the war and now are in the re-servo re-servo officers' corps. The contests, which will begin at 1 p. m include twenty-minuto altitude tests, a 100-mile race four laps of twenty-five miles each trials at landing land-ing on a T mark, maneuvering tests, alert tests and exhibition flights. Regular Reg-ular army planes of standard type will be used by all entrants. |
