Anderson in United States district court to the special federal grand jury which Investigated In-vestigated the ooal situation, was filed by Charles E. Hughes, special counsel coun-sel for the United Mine "Workers of America today" at the arraignment of miners and Indiana oporators indicted on a charge of conspiracy to violate the Lever act. Following arguments made by Mr. Hughes in support of the pica court was .adjourned until tomorrow. The plea in abatement Is based specifically spe-cifically on that part of Judge Anderson's An-derson's instructions which the court called attention to a rumored combination com-bination between the miners and the operators. nn . . |
