Show HUSBAND KILLS WIFE AND LOVER Eutimio Duran of Thompsons in Jail Charged With Double Murder. THOMPSONS. The eternal triangle u si ' leged to have been the cause. The killing of Jlron snd Mrs. Duran by Duran. who alleges that Jlron j broke up his home, occurred at 6:10 o'clock yesterday morning. Just afte.' , Mr.-. Duran and Jlron had returned by train from Grand Junction. Colo., ! where. It is alleged, they had spent several days. The killings were carefully planned and coolly executed. When Jlron and Mrs. Duran atepped from the train j they went In opposite directions. Duran. who. It was learned later, had bCB watching the trains, rushed from behind B shed, as Jlron walked up the tr.tck from the station. Duran was armed with a high-power .32 i caliber rifle and when Jlron saw him he ran towards a box car In the hop-of hop-of finding shelter. Duran was tOO uulck for him, however, and fUTatl shot which struck the fleeing man In I the head and brought him to the ground. Duran, it Is said, then walked over to where Jlron was llng and. placing plac-ing his weapon ugninst his victim's head, sent u bullet through his brain Duran then went In seurch of hla wife. Mrs, Duran. It appears, had gone to her home, but. not finding any member of the family present, became frightened and went to the home of a daughter. Mrs Archuletta Duran followed to the daughters homo and the daughter, fearing trouble, trou-ble, attempted to disarm him She was unsuccessful, however, and finally final-ly ran away. Duran then entered the house. It Is said, and shot his wife n the leg She fell across tho bed. and Duran fired again at the woman, the bullet entering her back. He followed this up by sending a bullet through her brain Sheriff Holbrook, who had heard tho nhota and been adl.Ml concerning concern-ing the trouble, hastened to the horn., of Duran s daughter to plac- Duran under arrest. Ho was met In the street by Duran, who surrendered ih rifle with which he had done his dru.lly v.,rk. and voluntarily ga.. himself up.
