Show GOOD WATER APPECIATED. 5 The Standard-Examiner is in receipt of an interesting letter 1 from Eldon L. Taylor, an Ogden young man, who is performing mis- sionary work for his church in St, Louis. In his letter he gives a description of the process through which the dirty water of the river I is put before it reaches St. Louis homes. His letter shows how it is placed in huge tanks where the solids drop to the bottom, it is then I filtered and certain purifying chemicals added, before it finally goes l into the mains and reaches the homes in a rather warm, unpalatable I condition. I After drinking this water for a few weeks Mr. Taylor declares he would be only too happy to have a drink of the cold mountain springs water thai flows through the city mains. Ogden has good water. In fact there are few cities in which the ' water is as good as it is in this community. The supply of this fine ! water should be assured to meet all future needs Experts say there's to he a shortage ot meat. Small 6tcaks will be smaller and short ribs shorter. sHHh |
