OCR Text	Show GEN. MILES' FAREWELL ADDRESS. Laat Order Issued by th Retiring Commandor. Lieut Oen. Nelson A. Miles, general commanding tha army, who retired from active service Aug. 8, having reached tha age limit of 64 year, Issued Is-sued a general order bidding farewell to the army. I.lout. Oen. Miles' farewell order praises "the principles of discipline and patriotism which make tho army the protettor and dof under, and never the menace, ot ihe nation and lta 11b-erllea." 11b-erllea." He reminds the soldlor that tholr activity must exist "within tha well defined limit of patriotism, untarnished un-tarnished honor, sterling Integrity, Impartial Im-partial Justice, obedience to rightful authority and Incessant warfare against armed enemies."
