Show HOOVER IT AFTER POLITICilBS Meets in New York With Organization Or-ganization for Feeding Destitute Desti-tute Children in Europe . NEW YORK, Jan. 28. Julius H. Barnes has issued the following statement state-ment in regard to reports published in Now York papers: "Statements in this morning's pa-pors pa-pors that Mr. Hoover had come to New York for a political conference with certain gentlemen, Including myself, my-self, are not only absolutely without foundation, but are unfair and ungenerous. ungen-erous. The meeting yesterday was the regular fortnightly meeting of tho directors di-rectors of the European Children's Fund, an organization for feeding des-titue des-titue and under-nourished children In the newly created democracies of con-tral con-tral and eastern Europe. The details of that extensive work require frequent fre-quent consideration of tho business men who are directors.
