CLAD VOUJHi GIVES RESIDENTS SEiSATIDS Ogdenltes on South Washington avenue ave-nue were "startled" early today when a youth in track attire, wearing a winged "O" on his sweater, was seen in action. The youth, better known to the Pacific Pa-cific coast sporting world, was Herbert Herb-ert Hunter of the Olympic club of San Francisco. During the wait of his train hero today he covered five miles over Ogden Og-den In near record time, prior to departing de-parting for the east. Hunter will enter the Indoor track and field games at the New York Athletic Ath-letic club gymnasium on Fobruary 24. On his jaunt today he demonstrated his ability as a distance runner when ho coverod five mllea over tho pavement pave-ment In Ogden in 28 minutes and 12 seconds. Hunter was a mombor of the American Ameri-can team which Invaded Stockholm In 1912. He expects to land a place on the 1920 OlymjDic loam. i |
