Show HUGE TIBER WOLF KILLED Br IDAHO i FOREST HUGE Measuring S feet 7 inches from the tip of its, nose to the tip of its tail, one of tho largest timber wolves ever killed in Idaho, fell before the rifle of Frank Moss, forest ranger, on Tuesday, Tues-day, according tod word from the forest for-est service offices. Moss is a ranger in the Targheo forest for-est and early this winter started active ac-tive warfare against a pack of twenty-three twenty-three wolves which were committlin depredations on the sheep and cattle on forest service ranges. Six of the band were either trapped, poisoned or shot, and on Tuesday, Moss succeeded in baggJng the giant leader of the pack and has expressed belief that, the remainder of the pack will be cleared out before spring. It was reported that though i..e wolves had been killing scores of cattle cat-tle and. sheep during the past few years, that this was the first attempt made towards exterminating these predatory animals. oo |
