Show RECORDS FROM HEALTH OFFICE DF TOE CITV Records for the month of September 'this year have completely shattered those of the same month in 1D1S, at the local health office, according to word given out this morning In 1918 twenty twen-ty four cases ol smallpox were recorded, record-ed, one case of typhoid fever, five cases of whooping cough two of pneumonia pneu-monia and two of diphtheria. Up to the present day in this month but five cases have been reported to the health oflice. Of" this number three are smallpox while the remaining remain-ing two are chlckenpOX patients. This lecurd shattets the records for the entire en-tire year of 1 91 8 and the officials ex ipect to see the mark shattered still more before the present month is over. But two cases of typhoid fever exist ex-ist in the city. One of the two patients will bo removed from a local hospital to his home today, while it Is expected that the other patient will be able to resume his wvrk In due time |
