Show TAXES USED BY CITY JUO COUNTY FOB THIS YEAR Taxpayers of Weber county will be called upon to pay (1,104,292.78 in taxes this year, according to figures that were compiled yesterday when the tax levies of the state, state schools, count BChools, and al60 for state and countv roads were announced. In short the tax levy is 4.42 mills higher than it was a year ago in Ogden and 1.06 mills higher in the country districts. dis-tricts. The total tax rate for Ogden City property this year is 26.10 mills this year, as compared with 21.68 mills a year ago; the country district tax is 14.03 mills as compared with 12.97 one ear ago There my be a slight change, the school fund tax being subject to revision in case the state district school fund provides for a larger income in-come than at present anticipated Weber county's total valuation this year Is $52,71 4.155. of which $H5.856,-'JZ2 $H5.856,-'JZ2 Is the assessment on Ogden City property and $17,058,223 is the amount BSaeased in the country districts. Thij shows that the city pays about two thirds of the county taxes, besides the amounts tor ciry and BChools. Com puted upon this baals, (he taxpayers in Ogd6n City will pay $865,965 92 and tbose in the rural sections will pay 229r826i80. However, this latter figure fi-gure includes payments on such plants as the Amalgamated Sugar company factory, the Utah Packing corporation's corpora-tion's five plants, the Globe Grain & Milling company. Hansen Livestock & Fe ding company aud other Industries located In tho farming districts.
