Show GOVERNOR TO MEET ARMY TRANSPORT TRAIN AS IT I PASSES OVER STATE LINE To meet the army motor transport 'train as ft passes over the Utah-YYv 'ming state line, Governor Simon Bam berger and President J. S. Lewis of the Ogden Merchants will go to the ! state line next Saturday morning, according ac-cording to a schedule formulated last I night at a meeting of the Ogden committee com-mittee who are planning the entertainment entertain-ment of the members of the train I while in Weber county and Ogden. It Is expected that the army motor train will be entertained by the people I of Morgan county as they pass through I the canyon The train is due to ar-hive ar-hive in Ogden at about 5:30 p m. Reception Program. Following is the program of recep I 1 1 Ion and entertainment made by the arrangement committee at Its meeting! I last evening The eotint commissioners will meet j the train at the county line and will 'escort them to the city limits where , Mayor T. S. Browning will greet them Immediately upon their arrival at the City limits the signal will be given ! for the whistles to blow, signalling the i people of the approach of the motored j caravan. The parade, headed by Mayor Browning and party will form at th" citv limits and move into Ogden In the I.:? of arch, !eed;ng :?ie mot:r trucks, will be the Red CrOBS Motor 'corps, commanded by Mrs Ralph E. Bristol; a platoon of mounted polite officers, led bv Chief T. E. Browning; the Ladies' band, and the greeting ! committees. The line of th parade will be along I Washington avenue to Twenty-third street, west on Twenty-third to Grant ! avenue, thence south to Lake street, I where the motor train will break up land the various machines will park jalong Lake street, between 'Irani an 1 Washington avenues Hudson avenue I between Twenty-fifth and Twenty-; Twenty-; sixth strocts and probably along the north side of Twenty-sixth street, from Grant to Washington. The trucks and equipment of the motor transport corps will park along these streets for Inspection by the citizens. citi-zens. The enlisted men will be given tn freedom of the various clubs of th city and in the evening will be the guests of Manager H E. Skinner of the Alhambra theatre Refreshments will be provided by the county commission, com-mission, farm bureau and business men The officers will be banqueted at the Weber club, following which will bo held a good roads meeting, such as the officers are holding in all cities through which they pass. Further details of the entertainment entertain-ment of the crews and officers of the motor transport corps will be worked out at a subsequent meeting of the Ogden committee, which included Mayor T. S. Browning, Rev. John Edward Ed-ward Carver, George Glen, P. F. Kirk-endall, Kirk-endall, J S Lewis, the city commis slon, the county commission and others. Letter from Governor. The following letter from Governor Bamberger.rcgarding his acceptance of the invitation to attend Ogden's reception re-ception to the train has been received by President Lewis: "Dear Sir I have your letter of August concerning plans for the reception re-ception of the motor transport corps I Insofar as conditions may permit, the program as outlined is agreeable to j me You appreciate, however, that Ibree important meetings of governors I are to be held in Salt Lake between!
