FIVE CENTS PER GALLON MORE I FOR MILK ON AUGUST 1 5T0 i I I As the result of a decision reached I last Sturdav afternoon, at a meeting I of the dairy committee of the Weber county farm bureau held In the farm j I bureau offices, the price of milk from the producer to the dealer will be increased in-creased five cents per gallon The milk producing farmers of the county, after an extensive study as to the cost, of producing milk, have found ii necessary to increase the price The dairy committee of the farm bureau compared the results of their experiments experi-ments with like experiments of other counties in the state and it Is believed believ-ed that the increase v ill he general Following is a letter of notification sent to milk dealers by the chairman of the dairy committee of the Weber county larm bureau Letter to Dealers "Milk Dealer. Dear Sir: It has been found necessary, after an exhaustive ex-haustive investigation of feed prices pri-ces both current and future, to ask an increase of five cents per gallon to take effect not later than the fifteenth of August, 1919 in all cases, except where a raise of five cents was made on the fir.t of Au- trust Producers have been so notified." no-tified." Notice Sent Out To notify the'variou? dairy committee commit-tee men in the rural districts of the county to advise the farmers that the price of milk ha.-i been raised, the chairman of. the committee Is sending out the following letter; "Dairy Committeemen: This is to advise, so that you will notify the dairymen of your town, that at a meeting of the dairy committee of tin- Weber County Farm Bur-ran Bur-ran held Saturday, August 9th, it unanimously decided that the price of feed made it necessary to demand of the dealers an Increase of five cents per gallon on milk, to take effect not later than tho fifteenth day of August. 1919. ""This increase Is to be made in all cases, except where prices were advanced five cents on the first of August. "See that the producers arc advised ad-vised and that none accept less than the five cent raise, because thai price can be obtained." |
