Show INCREASE IN CENSUS OF THE SCHOOL CHILDREN OE OGDEN IS APPROXIMATELY 1000 The Ogden City board of education has just completed a census of school children who will attend tho city schools during the coming school year and who will be qualified to receive financial assistance from the state bi boo funds. The census will be Immediately Im-mediately senl to the state authorities as the basis of appropriation of school fund- Tho census shows that S.139 boy and girls betwoen ihe agee of six and eighteen years are entitled to receive the state allotment The census for last year snows 8,901 students In last year's census, students who had reached the age of 18 and over were enumerated This ye.ir onh students stu-dents "bo will reach the age of six be fore the opening of the school year nnd students under ihe age of 18 are counted. The decrease is account 1 for in this manner It Is stated at the board of education educa-tion offices that the number of stu den s between 6 and 18 years of age who attended school last year was 7,183, This would mean that the number num-ber of school children of school age who should attend school this year will increase about 1,000 This is considered consid-ered b remarkable growth.
