Show TRAVELER 15 RDBBEO WHILE CAMPING 111 PARK Takinc five traveler's checks valued at $90, In addition to about $10 in cur rency, thieves last night entered 'he tent of Milton E. Parker, an auto tourist tour-ist en route from Yellowstone Park to his home in Oklahoma City, Okla. Parker was camped at the grounds of old Sylvan park, just north of the Ogden river brldce The thieves, in entering his tent, removed a check book from his coat, and, after extracting extract-ing the traveler's r hecks, discard d the check book. The book, it Is stated, stat-ed, held a check for $255 and $60 in currency, which tho thief evidently overlooked. Detective R. H Chambers investigated. investi-gated. According to him, four of the stolen checks were for $20 each and were procured by Mr. Parker at the Guarantee Bank or Oklahoma City. The other check, for $10, was Issued by the American Rank of Ft. Collins and had been twice endorsed b lr Parker. The latter check. Mr. Parker stated, must be presented before September Sep-tember 1. |
