There is a possibility possi-bility that Slater will not be able to go on, but Manager Downing has Battling Bat-tling Charles Midkiff in reserve to take his place if he falls, which will make every bit as good a battle. These boys have an old score to settle, as they battled once beforo and Johnson was awarded the decision when Midkiff Mid-kiff accidentally delivered a low punch. As far as real enthusiasm is concerned, con-cerned, the next bout, between "The Fighting .Yid" and Battling Travis, promises to run the headliner a close race.
