Show DAMAGE SUIT HAS BEEN COMPROMISED By stipulation between Attorney Joseph Jo-seph Chez, representing Lillie May Shapley, and City Attorney W. H. Reeder, Jr., for the defendants, tho suit of Lillie May Shapley, by Charles Shapley her guardian, against the Heuser-Packard company and Ogden city, an agreement was reached yesterday yes-terday effecting a settlement of the claim for ?2250 and the city was held blameless. The suit, as originally filed, was for $25,000, the complaint alleging that through negligence of the city and the construction company Lillie May Shapley fell into a sewer excavation on south Washington avenue several months ago and received such a shock as to render her mentally unbalanced. oo |
