Show - 0, D, WW is to mo IN STIMULATING BEET MISI In order to discuss plans for greater co-operation between the farmers of Utah and Idaho In tho food production program, President D. D. McKay, of the Slate Farm bureau, will make a trip to Twin Falls, Idaho, about March 11; to confer with President F. W. Al-worth, Al-worth, of the Idaho State bureau, and other officials. Mr. McKay has been invited by Agent Donald W. McLean of Twin Falls to deliver an address to the farmers of that district on sugar beet raising and expects to confer with President Alworth on the same visit. There has been but 2000 acres of beets signed up for tins district of Idaho, Mr. McLean states, while there should have been about 10,000. According to Mr. McKay, there are several matters of prime importance to the farmers of Utah and Idaho, especially es-pecially labor and the sugar beet situation, sit-uation, which need to bo thoroughly understood by the farmers of both states before a complete spirit of constructive con-structive co-operation can be developed. |
