Show 10IIR 0 Ml HAS BROTHER KILLED IN THE WAR s ' The war's blighting effect has made itself felt on another little Ogden family, fam-ily, the list growing slowly, which soon will probably take on large proportions. pro-portions. A letter has been received by Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Anderson, 2624 Jefferson avenue, from Mrs. Anderson's Ander-son's sister, Mrs. H. W. Hauge in England, Eng-land, telling of the death of Sam Anderson, An-derson, brother of the Ogden man, who was killed, in action in France in the early part of December. With characteristic British consideration, Mrs. Hague states in her letter that she refrained from sending the news before Christmas as it would probably prob-ably spoil that occasion for Mr. and Mrs. Anderson. Mr. Anderson is employed em-ployed in the Southern Pacific shops here. This makos the third member of this family to lose his life in the war and another was killed by. a bomb explosion. ex-plosion. Mr. and Mrs. Anderson had seven ' nephews and the brother fighting for England a few months ago. There are five nephews left. William G. Ed-mondson, Ed-mondson, aged 18, died at Whitchurch training camp of disease, a month after entering the service. Harry Ratcliffe, another nephew, also aged 18, was torpedoed while on board ship, by a German submarine. Sam Anderson had been in the war two years and had passed through some of tho most strenuous campaigns of the big fight. No details of his death were available when Mrs. Hague wrote. Accompanying the letter was a pink ribbon with an epitaph to William G. Edmondson, this being the means employed by the British government of informing relatives of the death of a soldier, instead of using a card. AD REAL ESTATE Transfers . .'. Sarah E.
