Show Deaths and Funerals NOR DQU 1ST The funeral of Peter Nordquist was held yesterday in the Lynne waid chapel with Bishop L. W. Shearner presiding The ward choir) sang, "Oh, My Fa'her" and "Through' Deepening Trials." Mrs. James Martin Mar-tin and choir sang. "Oh Grave, here Is Thy Victory " Mrs. Ray Jones and Mrs. James Martin sang. "Sometime, Somewhere." Clarence Bramwell sang. "God Holds the Future in His Hand." The speakers were Walter Crane, Patriarch Pa-triarch Levi J. Taylor. C. J. A. Lind-quibt, Lind-quibt, President James Wotherspoon and Bishop L. W. Shearner. Interment Inter-ment was in the Ogden City cemetery. The grave was dedicated b C. O. Turnquist. STALEY Mrs. Ann C. Staley died at 7:30 p. m. yesterday at the family home, North Ogden, after suffering of heart trouble for some time. She was born in Denmark, May 11, 1848, and i was the daughter of Hans C. and So-phla So-phla Sorensen Christensen. The fam-! dy came to Utah in 1862 and first resided re-sided at Logan. In 1910 Mrs. Staley j moved to North Ogden and has lived there since that time. Her husband,! Daniel Staley. passed away at North Ogden January 1, 1912 Mrs. Staley; was a member of the Mormon church,1 and well known in this city and coun-j ty. She Is survived by the following! children Mrs Sophia McBride, Og-1 den; Hans Staley. Idaho; Henry' Staley, Sta-ley, North Ogden; Mrs. Josephine Wright, Ogden; Nephi Staley, Idaho, and Mrs. Esther Williamson, of Ogden. Og-den. Also by thirty-six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral announcements will be made later. FAULKNER The funeral of Bessie Faulkner will be held Sunday after-noon after-noon at the Kirkendall chapel. Rev. L. A. Hlrt of tho First Christian church will officiate. Mrs. Faulkner died last Wednesday at the residenee, 2248 Endion avenue. ARENDS Robert Eugene Arends, 6 month -old son of J. F. Arends. of Ogden. died May 27 in Arlington. S. D. "Yho body was shipped to Ogden and the funeral service was held yesterday afternoon in the Kirkendall chapel Rev. Christian R. Garver officiated. Interment was in Ogden City cemetery. |
