Show SPLENDID PROGRAM AT PRESBYTERIAN PRESBY-TERIAN CHURCH. When Miss Kathleen X. Phillips, a member of the British Red Cross I spoke In the Presbyterian church last Wednesday evening before a large and interested audience, a good musical program was carried out beginning with a piano selection by Miss Myrtle O'Neil Sheratt Hudson of the local All-British association made a few opening remarks and Reverend God-fred God-fred Mathews spoke in his usual fine manner after which Nephi Brown sang a baritone solo, "Liberty Bell." Two delightful sporano numbers were well given by Miss Florence Fisher, the I first, "Joan of Arc," and the second, "War Babies ' Miss Phillips then spoke to the audience on the war as she had seen it. Miss Phillips Is a very impressive speaker and she stated stat-ed a number of thrilling facts. Following Follow-ing her splendid talk, Robert Green-well Green-well sang 'Somewhere in France," and Nephi Brown led the audience in singing "The Star Spangled Banned." Miss Myrtle O'Neil was the accompanist accompa-nist for the solo numbers. |
