Show BRIDGE FOREMAN IS INSTANTLY KILLED PRICE, Jan. IS. Arthur W. Birch of Pri.ce was Instantly killed yesterday when a hillside on the river bank opposite op-posite the city of Helper caved in on him. Largo boulders crushed his body and he was suffocated under several tons of dirt. Mr. Birch had tho contract con-tract for repairing the state bridge across the Price river m the city of Helper and was taking out dirt for the abutment. Mr. Birch came to Prico thirty-five years ago at the ago of -H, his father. Joe Birch, being one of the pioneer' merchants and traders of eastern Utah The son engaged for several vears in the cattle business, but later had been doing contracting and building. Ho leaves a widow and six grown sons and daughters. Arrangemonts for tho funeral have not been mado |
