Allegations Allega-tions of unduo influence through "spiritual" messages received before ther marriage at the ago of 71 and which inspired tho terms of her will, were mado in a contest filed by six nephews and nieces of Mrs. Martha Shaffer Vaughn, who left all but $5,-000 $5,-000 of an estate valued at $110,000 to L. O. Vaughn. j Mr3. Vaughn, It was alleged, was influenced in-fluenced by mediums to build a house with a room without corners, so spirits spir-its and dead friends might visit her ; without Injury to their astral bodies, i Four years ago messages, purport-. ' i foretold the arrival of one who would help her, and soon afterward Vaughn ' appeared as the fulfillment of these predictions, and later after "spirits" advised the 71-year-old woman to marry, mar-ry, Vaughn announced ho had instructions instruc-tions to be the groom. Two and a half years after their marriage friends obtained the appointment appoint-ment ofa guardian, upon allegations that the estate had dwindled from a valu6 of $200,000 to $110,000. It was testified Vaughn's personal fortune had increased about $50,000. The six contestants arc Elizabeth Kirk and Irene Llllie of Santa Ana, and Laura E. Qriffin. John E. Cowles, H. A.
