Show Deaths and Funerals FERGUSON The body of Harold M. Ferguson, chief boatswain mate, U. S. N., who died in the naval hospital at Keywest, Fla., arrived in Ogden yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Ferguson Fer-guson of 22 Argyle apartments, and was attached to the U. S. S. Marble-head Marble-head when stricken with pneumonia of which ho died. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Godfrey Matthews Matt-hews at the grave in Mountain View cemetery this afternoon following the arrival of the cortege which leaves Kirkcndall's chapel at 3 o'clock. Sailors Sail-ors and other navy men, who are in the city today, aro asked to attend the service at the cemetery. GOSN ELL Irving Gosnell, 20-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. James Gosnell, died last evening at Uio residence, 2550 Van Buren avenue. He was born in Ogden, July 2G, 3,898. The parents and the following brothers and sisters survive: sur-vive: Edward Gosnell, in the marine corps at Galveston, Texas; William and Clarenco Gosnell and Mrs. J. J. Murphy of Salt Lake. JACKSON Mrs. Mary Jackson, aged 70 years, wife of Abraham Jackson, Jack-son, died at tho homo, 452 Sixteenth street, of asthma. McENTYRE News of tho death from Influenza of Mrs. Libblo Wells McEntyre, wife of W. N. McEntyre, were received by the parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. N. McEntyre of Farr West. The death occurred at Spreckles, Cal. MESICK Funeral services for Miss Amoy B. Mesick, who died yesterday of Influenza, will be held at Warren Sunday. The cortege will leave the family home at 11 a. m. Sunday and services wjll be conducted at the grave by Rev. John Hyslop. NYLAND Myrtle Charlotte Nyland, wife of John Nyland, died of influenza influ-enza at 2:30 p. m, yesterday at the residence of her father, Charles Price, 19G Second streot. She was born December De-cember 29, 1S96, the daughter of Charles and Emily Stromberg Price. She was married three years ago and a child died last winter. The body was removed to the Llndquist chapel to be prepared for burial. She is survived by her parents, husband, and the following fol-lowing brothers and sisters: Winnie, Ellen, Charles, Vera, Norman nnd Reynold Price, all of Ogden. Funeral will be hold in Huntsvllle, Sunday, the cortege leaving the home at 3 p. m. Bishop Sherner will officiate. FOWLER Funeral services were hold for Clement L. No flowers. STARK Orson Pratt Stark, who died Tuesday, October 22 at Thatcher, Idaho, was laid to rest in the Uintah cemetery yesterday afternoon following fol-lowing impressive services. Mr. Stark was taken ill of Influenza one week ago today and passed away four days following. J. Llndquist Undertaking company. At the services yesterday E. G. Jenkinson gave the prayer and a duet, "Sometime "Some-time We'll Understand" was sung by Mrs. Louiso Swan and Josephine Lunn. Louise Swan also sang a solo, "My Faith In Theo" and a second duet was given, entitled "I Need Thee Every Hour." The speakers were Bishop Richard G. Watt of the Thatcher ward, Bishop John L. Hunsaker of Bothwell, Bishop A. Bingham of River-dale River-dale and George Allen. The benediction benedic-tion was given by George W. Kondell and the grave was dedicated by James H. Cook. on |
