Show CAMPAIGN FOR SAVIliOF COAL CHICAGO, Oct. 24. A nntional campaign cam-paign of education regarding the conservation con-servation of coal, to be followed by a system of pledge cards to be instituted institut-ed under governmental supervision, according to speakers at a conference today of manufacturers from Illinois and Wisconsin. Regarding the coming campaign of education and pledge cards, Mr. Robinson Rob-inson said that the plans have not been fully worked out as yet, but the cam-1 paign of education would be followed by a system ot pledges, and if neither J were bencltcial that "some other plan, will be employed." Mr. Monnett said there would be a demnnd for about 700.000,000 tons of coal this year, while the estimated output would be only 650,000,000 tons concluding his remarks with tho de- i claVation that "the man who stands between our boys and" the need, for coal is a traitor." |
