Show ERNEST F, RflHDS I In writing from France to his sisters, sis-ters, Mrs. Blanche Simmons and Mrs. Carrie Burke, Ernest F. Rounds tells of his wonderful experiences since enlisting en-listing in the 31st engineers, and ar-. ar-. riving over seas early in the summer. He writes ho is perfectly happy and contented, but is anxious to get 'to Berlin, however, and help wind up the struggle. Also tells his folks not to send him a thing for he has everything he needs thus proving that Uncle Sam looks out for the wellbeing'bf his boys "over there." Ernest's many friends will be pleased pleas-ed to learn of his contentment. Ho was born in Ogden twenty-four years ago, moving to Boise City, Ida., in his early childhood returning to Ogden Og-den about five years ago where he has been a trusted employee of the Southern Pacific railroad where he was wjorking at the lime of his enlistment enlist-ment with the 31st engineers. He considered con-sidered himself fortunate In getting into this department of the service as they are giving good account of themselves them-selves and many will have occasion to be proud of the boys of this company when they, conic marching home. |
