Show LONDON, Aug. 13. The number of guns captured by the allies in Plcardy has now reachod 650, of these 400 were taken by tho British in the drive along the northern sector of the front. The Austrians are reported moving an immense amount of material and large numbers of guns in the direction of Italy and arc expected ex-pected shortly to start another offensive offen-sive on tho Italian front, LONDON, Aug. 13. It is at present encamped n Belgium and is reported as showing no anxiety to get Into the raging furnace to the southwest, WITH THE BRITISH ARMY IN FRANCE, Aug. 13. During last night the enemy launched a counter-attack east of Fouquescourt but was driven off with casualties, tho British positions posi-tions remaining Intact, Enemy reinforcements now are reported re-ported concentrating east of Roye but they are belug badly mauled by bombs and shells from both the British and the French. There was an action last night well up in the line In Flanders, toward Kemmel, but reports of its results have not been received. At any rate it was a relatively unimportant affair. |
