Taylor of Ogden, assistant general manager and secrtary-treasur-er of the Amalgamated Sugar company, com-pany, has been signally honored by the United States food administration appointing him administrator with special spe-cial jurisdiction over the distribution of sugar. The appointment was made by Georgo M". Rolph. first assistant to Herbert Hoover. Mr. Taylor was requested re-quested to leave for Washington on November 1, but will bo unable to depart de-part for ton or fifteen days. His departure de-parture will be regulated by the disposition dis-position of his business affairs in Utah and Idaho. Mr. Taylor was somewhat reticent when asked concerning the new position. posi-tion. "I must decline to discuss my duties for the very sufficient reason that I am not familiar with their exact requirements," re-quirements," he said. "The appointment appoint-ment was entirely so unexpected that I have had no opportunity to ascertain just what I am to do. L. R. During that timo he has been superintendent of every ev-ery factory of the company and has thus gained a comprehensive fund of information on sugar. |
