Jaeger, a mechanical engineer engi-neer who recently returned from South America, where he spent several years in Argentina, is of the opinion that tho United States will continue to hold the trade of that country. He states that Americans have taken the lead in almost al-most all lines'of business there, especially espe-cially in Buenos Aires, the principal city of tho continent-. He further maintains main-tains that this country will continue to hold the halanco of foreign trado even after. the war. ' Mr. Jaeger went to South America after completing the Installation of tho j hydro-electric power plant of tho Utah Power '& Light company on' Twelfth street. At the time the plant was built, which was in 189G, it was owned by the old Pioneer Power company. com-pany. Since returning to Utah, several sev-eral weeks ago, Mr. Jaeger has completed com-pleted the installation of a stationary engine in the Ogden plant of the Amalgamated Sugar company. He plans to make his permanent residence in Utah. |
