Show SOCIALISTS M IT TO VOTE FOR MIDI OPOSDEN The Socialists of Ogden having been somewhat disappointed in the primaries primar-ies of Tuesday, have made the following follow-ing appeal: "To All Socialists: The campaign i committee calls attention to the fact that as a result of the primary election elec-tion of October 23 we are deprived of the right to vote in the general election for three of the city officers, unless- we make a choice between two capitalistic candidates. That is one kind of democracy. "We urge all Socialists to attend the general election, November 6, and vote for our candidate for municipal judge, but to abstain from 1 for any other candidates on the ballot. Wo have no choice between ' tweedle-dum and tweedle-doe. "We remind them of the historic attitude of the Socialist party of nearly every country lacainst fusion 1 against trading or compromise,1 which has been its greatest source of strength. ! "In the words of William Lieb-, kneoht, 'We are a peculiar people, j We are other than the others. What wo have been we are. And what Ave are we will remain.' 1 "Anyone claiming to control, influence in-fluence or deliver the Socialist voto is only handing a gold brick to gullible campaign managers and anyone found promising to do so will be expelled. "In soliciting votes for the one Socialist candidate remaining on the official balloj we venture to hope that no one will vote for him simply as a means of expressing hostility to his opponent. We want no spite votes. We intend to claim his" vote in the final election as the true measure of Socialist sentiment in ', this city. If you are not friendly toi Socialism, please do not voto for, him. 1 (Signed) "Socialist Campaign Committee." oo j Captured Convict F. W.
