Show Society V f A BIRTHDAY PARTY. Darn Gale, a member of the Petti-grew Petti-grew orchestra at the Hermitage In Ogden canyon, was surprised Tuesdaj , Juno 18, by his moth r. brothers, Sis lers, relatives and friends. After lunch was served the party spent the reminder of the evening dancing while others s'.vam and boat riding was enjoyed Mr. Gale received re-ceived many beautiful birthday gifts. RETURN TO EVANSTON. Mrs. Carl Clark and son Clarence returned to their home in Evanston, Wyo., Monday .Mrs. Clark was here during the illness and death of her mother, Mrs. E. Morrison, GOES TO WISCONSIN. Mrs. Mary Hoppenyan who haa spent the last two months visiting relatives in Ogden departed for her hume in Ashland, Wis.. Sunday. Mrs. Hoppenyan is a sister of the laie Patrick Pat-rick Heal), who passed away and was buried during her visit here. LEAVES FOR EAST. Miss Lidig. one of the teachers in the grade schools, departed for her home in the east last Sunday. Mlse Lldlg made many friends during th j school term who will welcome her I back yhould she resume her worfe here for the season of 1918-19. CHILD CULTURE CLUB FIELD. Members of the Child Culture club will be entertained at the home of Mrs. Joseph Clark tomorrow afternoon, the occasion being their annual field day. Eaton has returned to hiB home in Monlpelier. Ida., alter spending spend-ing the week-end in Ogden with his parents, Mr. and Mrs.' E.' H. Eaton, and children, 765 West Twenty-fourth streeL Mr. Eaton also visited with his sister, Mrs. J. W. F. Myers, on Seventh Sev-enth street, during his stay In this city. LEAVES FOR FLORIDA. Walter Stoker who recently enlisted enlist-ed in the quartermaster's corps of the army, left Fort Douglas Monday for Jacksonwlle, Fla., where he will enter the school for quartermasters.
