Wear, a vrteran of the Civil war, accompanied by his wife, will leave Thursday for Chicago, where he will make his future home. Mr. Wear hus been Janitor of the Carnegie library for 12 years and planted nearly all the flowers and shrubbery which beautify the lawn. Though 82 years of age, he Is 3pry md well preserved, except that sometime some-time ago he fell down stairs at 'he Library, destroying Ihe sight of his left eye, which occulists say may be Baved by an operation on the optic nerve.
