Show TAKE A TRIP OVER THE VIADUCT. Our business men are held closely to their commercial affairs but they should find time during the bright spring days to promote an excursion into the stockyards district of Ogden. We venture to say that not a very big percentage of the prominent men of the city know how extensive are th-Improvements th-Improvements which are being made west of the viaduct. Large plants are being erected, hun dreds of carloads of livestock are being be-ing brought in and people from all over the west are being drawn to the city by the industries which arc being be-ing built up in that district. Take the Hansen Livestock & Feed ' ing company which has a large plant i in Wilson Lane. Yesterday when a rep-I rep-I rcsentative of The Standard was on the ground, 10,000 sheep were being sheared by machinery". fvr teams were hauling alfalfa meal from the large mill which has been erected; horsemen were bringing in large herds of cattle; artesian wells were being driven; hogs were being vaccinated vacci-nated to guard against cholera, and plans were being made for the erection erec-tion of three buildings, one to be 75 j feet wide and 250 feet long; another 75 feet by 130 feet, three stories high, and the third 40 feet by 135 feet Six months from now this company will have the largest alfalfa meal mill and plant for the manufacture of concentrates con-centrates in the west.
