Show I I Yesterday's Happenings ! j j In Pacific Coast League j IWOLVER TON GIVES SEALS SHORT REST SACRAMENTO, March 19. Harry Wolverton crossed the Seals today. Bright and early this morning they were around their hotel waiting for him to issue orders for a morning workout. Harry ihought they needed a rest after the Cub games, however, and cave them a rest. The regulars had a fine lime in the afternoon. Wolverton stationed the youngsters in the field and played a ball game, but the regulars did all the hitting. Thry practiced their signals for the hit-and-run and squeeze plays The Seals lin up tomorrow against the Clubs like they did in San Fran Cisco, with "Spider" Baum pitching and Del Baker catching. A big parade will precede the game. Most of the big stores have decided to close ami both houses of the legislature legisla-ture will adjourn at 1 o'clock. Gov- ernor Stephens, suest of honor, will I pitch the tlrst ball. nit |
