Show SNOW STORM COSTS THE CITY Of OGDEN LARGE SUM Explaining his report for December showing that $2,083.35 was expended on the streets, uf which amount $1,. 172 36 was expended in clearing the streets of snow and ice. Street Super visor C. H Martin today said the work covered the entire city; that ten snowplows were used in opening trails in the outlying diatncls, reaching every ev-ery residence, and eight or ten teams were ued in hauling .snow and ice from the downtown district. The removal of snow and ice trom the business district cost $769 86. and ;i ' 05 1 m operating the snowplows was ? IU2.50. It was necessarv, Mr Martin said, to keep the gutters clear and it was; not advisable to flush the snow into j the sewers until the thaw began.)
