During his vaudeville engagement at tho Orpheum, Hackenschmidt passed most of his spare time defying Ilarbertson in an offort to get him on tho mat. Ilarbertson, during this period was ostensibly a middleweight wrestler and would have been at a disadvantage in a bout with Hackenschmidt, but the two men are now of about equal weight. Haibertson's spectaclar entry into the light heavyweight divorsion, by defeating Pete Visser on the night of March 2S, was the signal for Hackenschmidt Hacken-schmidt to again challenge him. To make the challenge good, the Russian hgreed to post a forfeit of $250 for his appearance and to wrestle on a winner tako all basis. His forfeit money was promptly coverod by Ilarbertson and the match is now set for the night of April 13, at the Alhambra theater. |
