Shields, on this question. The Standard today received re-ceived a copy of a letter signed by Attorney At-torney General Shields, addressed to governor Bamberger, in which he declares de-clares positively that the enue bill "is in all respects constitutional." Furthermore, answering the only objections, ob-jections, Mr. Shields Bays: "Now as to the policy of the bill, objection ob-jection has been raised to the first section sec-tion of the bill on account of the lati-j lati-j tude allowed thereby to persons from other slates bringing actions within I this state, and providing that these actions ac-tions may be brought any place where the corporation has a place of business. busi-ness. This may be a sound objection , to the bill, but in view ot the fact that the number of such actions is ex eed-ingly eed-ingly small, it can work but little if any hardship until such time as the legislation is again in session, when ( an amendment may be made thereto. "The second section of the bill is : such a necessary one, providing as it does that such actions shall be tried where the cause of action arose, that it far overcomes any objection which may be made to the bill I am sure that executive approval of the meas-j ure will subserve the interests of the people fcr-iierally (Signed.)
