Show RELATIONS WITH FRAT ARESEVERED American League Adopts Resolutions to Drop Baseball Base-ball Players' Fraternity. New York. Feb. 15. Realtions with the Baseball Players" fraternity were severed today when similar aetlon tAk-en tAk-en by the National league yesterday waa indorsed by the following resolutions: resolu-tions: Whereas. The Players' fraternity has repeatedly violated the letter and spirit on an agreement entered into , with I hem on January H. 1911. therefore, there-fore, be it "Resolved, By the American league of professional baseball clubs that all relatione with said fraternity be and the same are terminated." No Changes In Playing Rules. The playing schedule for the coming season waa adopted, the action of the national commission in reference to the requests of the National Association Associa-tion of Minor Leagues was approved, and while, the playing rules were discussed, dis-cussed, no changes were recommend-, ed. Indorsing the assertion that baseball should do its part In a movement looking look-ing toward the country's protection, tho league passed a resolution suggest- ing that the players bo given an op-' portunity to become civilian soldiers., The proposals were that at each spring training camp one hour a day be devoted de-voted to military instruction; that a military training camp he established at the close of the world's series, and that President Johnson be empowered to consult with Major General Leonard Wood concerning the details of this project. President Johnson was directed to contribute liberally toward a fund for a monument in Boston to perpetuate the memory of Timothy H Murnane. Majors' Action Approved. The national commission, also meeting meet-ing here today, approved the action taken by the National and American leagues abrogating the Cincinnati agreement" with the Players' frater nity. Several requests made by the National Association of Minor Base-ball Base-ball Leagues were granted by the commission, com-mission, but the principal one, which was to eliminate the draft from class AA and A clubs, was denied.
