Show SAM 111 FID H FOR SPEEDING IN AN AUTO The after-holiday police courl crrind this morning, netter the city J60 bail forfeitures and a number of offenders against a minor city ordinance were given their liberty with a warning' to go forth and pet drunk no nore. C. A. Sanders, F. Torres and Peter arcia, alleged drunks, forfeited 5 each. Earl Brown, A. Lynn and L. D. Parkinson, Park-inson, arested for disturbing thft peace, forfeited $10 each and K. C. Parsons, booked on a similar charge, forfeited $5. W. S. Hall, arrested on a charge; of damaging one of the "Safpty Zone" sign posts by driving into it with an automobile, forfeited $10. D. W. Morton, W. Miller, F Morley, Mrs. K Harris, T. C. Smith. D Sulli van, Wm. Reinhart, R. Haddock and D. Finn pleaded guilty to drunkenness and were given suspended sentences. Joe Berg, a mendicant, was likewise shown leniency. W. G Hifihtower and C B Metcalf, ' obstreperous drunks, were each sen tenced to serve 5 days in jail or to pay a $5 fine. . Inthecase of the City vs Sam Shar man, the defondant was found guilty of breaking the city traffic ordinance and fined $50. He was arrested on July 2d on a charge of speeding in an automobile. A ten-day stay of exe rut ion of the order of the court was asked and granted. oo |
