Show WILLIAM DOXEY DIES AT LOCAL HOSPITAL. Salt Lake, July 25. William Doxey, 72 years of age, died yesterday at a local hospital, following illness from hardening of arteries and other troubles troub-les attendant upon old age. His homo was at 1185 Princeton avenue. He had been in this state, most of the time in Salt Lake City, since June 5, 1885. Mr. Doxey was born in Sheffield, England, April 6, 1846. When he was 39 years of age he left England to come to Utah. Since he arrived here he has been engaged, almost up to the time of his death, in stone cutting. He was a stone cutter on the Salt Lake jtomple of the Mormon church and was later employed as an inspector inspec-tor lif the erection of the city and county building. Ho as survivod by his wifo, Sarah Eliza poxey, and by five children of a formef wife, who are William Doxey, manager of the Utah Light & Power company, who llvos at Bountiful; Frederick of Chicago, Thomas A. of this city, Mrs, Robert Eccles and Joseph Jo-seph df Oakland, Cal. There are three grandchildren and ono great-grandchild surviving him also. |
