Show CITY WANTS PAY FOR RONS OP THE FIRE DEPARTMENT In a meeting of the city commissioners commis-sioners this morning, Mayor Heywood recommended that a letter be sent to the county commissioners, advising them that the Ogden city fire department depart-ment had responded to several calls outside of the city, for which the city had received no reimbursement and that such trips would be $5n each. A, F. Larson, city auditor, submitted submit-ted to the board the bond interest for the month of August, as follows: Ogden refunding bonds for 1912. six months Interest, $1125. exchange $1.12. Mayor Heywood recommended that the general fund borrow from the waterworks fund the sum of $5000. The following men were confirmed directors of ihe Carnegie Library and reading room: P. T. Wright, J. W. Abbott and James Douglas. A rooming house license was granted grant-ed to Mrs. A Langevin. at 146 Twenty-fifth Twenty-fifth street on tin recommendation of Major Heywood, commissioner of public pub-lic safety. Chris Flygare, superintendent of streets and public improvements, recommended re-commended that O.OO feet of 2 1-2-inch fire hose be purchased by the cltv for the purpose of thoroughly cleaning the sewer system of the city, which needs it very much. oo |
