Show RESERVISTS ON TO THE BIG WAR Salt Lake, Oct. 23. Sixty Italian reservists left Salt Lake yesterday over the Rio Grande for their native country, to join the army and fight against the Austro-German alliance. It was the second quota from this section sec-tion to go within the month. The party will rendezvous In New York with reservists from other sections sec-tions of the United States and Canada Cana-da and sail for their fatherland November No-vember 1. A hundred or more will join tho Salt Lake quota at Pueblo and others at St. Louis and other points along the route. F. W. Anselmo, local Italian consular con-sular agent, arranged for tho return of his countrymen for the war. He is working in conjunction with the Italian Ital-ian district consul at Denver. The last shipload of Italian reservists reser-vists left New York in August. When the transport reachod mid-ocean, fire broke out in her hold and for a time there was fear1 lest she might go down before aid reached her. However, How-ever, tho blaze was extinguished finally and tho boat proceeded to Naples. oo |
