They havo received their bumps occasionally, occasion-ally, in fact have had entire seasons that can be described as lean years that is each ono has but there never nev-er has been a time when all four havo had adversity simultaneously. Always Al-ways at least ono of the quartet has gone through the campaign successfully. success-fully. . Getting down to more particular cases, there never has been any one single day on which all four were beaten not once has this occurred since the game of football came into being. Cornell, Dartmouth. University of Pittsburg and Washington and Jefferson Jeffer-son those are the tough birds tackled tac-kled by the high and mighty and proud. Cornell is scrapping with Harvard Har-vard in Cambridge. Dartmouth Is renewing re-newing its annual battle with Princeton. Prince-ton. Pittsburg Is assailing Penn. Washington and Jefferson is in New Haven arguing with Yale. Of these elevens that attack the Big Four, not one is an underdog. The worst any of them has was an even chance, and two seem to possess a clear margin of superiority. |
