Show jomn m BURIED MM Tho funeral of Johnathan Grix. father of LamonI Grix, was held yesterday yes-terday afternoon in the Fifth ward meeting house, with Bishop's Counselor Counsel-or Fred J. Burdette presiding. The meeting house was filled with friends and relatives of the pioneer business man and his family and upwards of 100 floral pieces were placed upon the bier and In front of the chancol rail, tributes of love and respect from residents resi-dents of Utah and the surrounding states. ' f t . t , Johnathan Grix. The speakers were Thomas A Sh reeve, Patriarch George V. Lar-kin, Lar-kin, Walter Crane, Dr E. I. Rich, Dr. W. H Petty and B. A. Larkin. their remarks being high eulogies of the life of Mr Grix as a churchman, friend, neighbor and an upbullwder of thq community. By special request, the pioneer's favorite song, "'Mid Scenes of Confusion," was sung by a quartette composed of .Mrs. Mary Farley, Far-ley, Mrs. Maude Lloyd. William Manning Man-ning and George A. Poulter, and the other musical numbers were as follows: fol-lows: Solo. "Lord, Responsive to Thy Call," David Pickett; cello and piauo duet, Lelth. Pearson and Myra Shreeve; bolo, "O My Father." William Wil-liam H Manning; solo, "Face to Kaco," Mrs. Mary Farley, A long cortege of automobiles followed the body to the grave In the City cemetery, ceme-tery, which was dedicated by Bishop T. B.
