Show TO FIND THE WATER LEVEL IN SOIL The water level is a term used in speaking about solid. It means the depth in the ground where the sail Is saturated with moisture. To find it, simply take a postholc digger and dig down until water stands at the bottom of the hole. Do this In an ordinary season when the ground has about the average amount of moisture. For most crops the water wat-er level should be about three feet below the surface, for alfalfa at least flv0 feet. A water level two to three feet deep Is excellent for the majority of farm crops. |
