Besides Be-sides a fresh increase of stocks at Minneapolis was noted and the railroad rail-road congestion east, though said to bo improved In some respects, was still an almost complete barrier to fresh business. Selling was general, Including a good deal of a stop loss character. After opening l-8l-4 to 5 8c down, with May at $1.24 3-4 to 1.25 1-8, and July at $1.17 to 1.17 3-8, tho market underwent a moderate further fur-ther setback. 4 Corn sagged owing to the weakness ot wheat Bear pressure, however, was not of an aggressive sort. Tho opening, which ranged from a shade to 3-8c lower, was followed by a slight additional decline and then a little reaction. Oats took tho tfownwartl course with other grain. Trade, though, was light Some firmness developed In provisions provi-sions because of scattered buying. Lower prices on hogs appeared to be Ignored. Afterward support dwindled and the smaller packers were sellers. The wheat close was firm, 5-8 to 5-8 3-4c net higher with May at $1.26 and July at $1.18 1-1.
