Fleming, mother of Japonlca Fleming, Flem-ing, the girl whose supposed dead body was found in an opium joint in this city about one year ago, today declared that after a thorough investigation inves-tigation of the possessions of the dead girl, she is convinced that the girl was not her daughter. Th"ls greatly complicates tho case and makes the mystery of the dead girl's identity more complex. The only indication that the dead girl ma)r have been Japonica Fleming Flem-ing is a picture found among her possessions. pos-sessions. This Is a picture of Japon- ica taken some years ago. Just how It came into the hands of the opium joint victim in part oC the tangle that more than a yeaf's Investigation has failed to unravel. Mrs. Fleming is now confident that her daughter is still alive, and she will keep up the search, -which has been unceasing for years. |
