Show oo MOVIE ACTRESS IS OFFERED SYMPATHY The sympathies of a kind-hearted old lady were wasted recently on Leah Baird, the Vitagraph actress, as she was acting a role that required her to stnnd on a street corner and sob as though her heart would break. The motion picturo camera was hidden among tho crowd of "extras" and none apparently, was paying any attention at-tention to Miss Baird. The old lady stepped to the scene and approached the weeping actress. "Are you In trouble, Miss?" she inquired in-quired solicitly. Miss Baird looked at the -woman In astonishment and then realizing that the woman thought her grief real, burst out laughing. "Oh, it's for the movies," said the old woman disgustedly and before Miss Baird could apologize and thank her for her interest she had walked swiftly away. -nrv |
