Show MANY ARRESTS IE 11 ey POLICE As an evidence that the instructions given the members of the police de-partment de-partment by Chief Norton at the special spe-cial meeting held at 6 p. m Saturday, as to the attitude the department was to take toward disturbers of the peace and oilier law breakers, 11 arrests were made on the la-st night of the Farhion Show. J II Saunders and Mr and Mrs. Jack Bolt were arrested by Officer Guy Nelson, on the charge of dibturb-ing dibturb-ing the peace. J. G. Miller was ar-iitsted ar-iitsted by Officers Sullivan and Mar-lin; Mar-lin; Jacob Bill by Patrolman Russell, John Belnap by Patrolman Hearn, and W. B. Cowthcrs by Chief Norton Nor-ton and Officer Sullivan, on charges uf disturbing the peace. Ray Brown was arrested by Patrolman William Brown, on the same charge. Detective T. B. Burk arrested Jack Davis on the charge of violating the tiafflc ordinance and Alex Lee was arretted by Patrolman Kelliher. on t)'- charge of committing malicious mischief. In addition to these, Joseph Popper was taken into custody on the charge of selling liquor without a license lie was arrested by Detectives Ward-law Ward-law and Peterson. Numerous reports of thefts of different dif-ferent kinds were also received at the police station. John Young of Roy and A c ('all of Wilson, reported the thefts of horses and buggies; George Manning of Hooper reported th theft ol $4, and James Hardy, a guest at the Marion hotel, the theft of $3. from their pockets during the evening, and Ward Gilpin, also a guest at the Marion hotel, reported the theft of his suitcase from the Union depot.
